The Trust conducted a “Krishna Yajur Veda Ghana Parayanam”, over twenty-seven days, a programme in which the Vedas are chanted in Ghanam style in the Yajur Vedic mode with perfect recitation for nine hours daily. Sixteen Vedic scholars from all over India participated in this programme, which drew wide acclaim. Students who had completed their Ghanam courses in our Vedic School also actively participated and with the utmost concentration. By perfectly reciting the Ghanam, they won the appreciation of all the Vedic Scholars who conducted the programme.

Such programmes are usually conducted only once every 20 to 30 years in a city because of the enormous expenses (approx. one million rupees) and efforts involved in mobilising so many scholars from across the country to one place for a consecutive period of 27 days. Our trust conducted this programme solely to instill confidence in and give practical exposure to the students of our institution who had just then completed the Ghanam course in our school.
